'plus size'; “How are YOU plus size!?”, “Do you like being called plus size?”, “Are you offended by that?” ….No, I don’t like it but I’m not offended by it. Why should I be? I’m offended by you asking that, because you’re suggesting I should be! I don’t like it yet I find comfort in it, being called ‘Plus size’ is like a safety blanket; I never have to listen to somebody tell me to loose weight again. Whats more, that label is what has given me work - I guess I could say I’m thankful for it. Some women feel empowered by it. But I’m talking about the girls IN the industry; it’s the girls outside of the industry who I worry about the ‘Plus size’ label affecting…
