I first started modelling when I was 14 years old!!
I was in town with my mum & my sister when someone came up to me to ask if I'd be interested in doing a photoshoot for a hair salon. I remember being soooo excited!! I didn’t really know what would come from it so you can only imagine how surprised I was when I saw my picture on the cover of a magazine! I then saw my photo taking up the whole wall in a hair salon and on loads of posters all around town.. I really couldn’t believe it!
I didn’t want it to end, seeing how happy it made my family and close friends.
I wanted to find a way to do this all the time, but i wasn’t sure how to! Fast forward to now, 7 years later, I find myself begging for days off instead of begging clients to hire me!
SO GRATEFUL!
I DID NOT SEE IT COMING!
for PrettyLittleThing.
I really do love my job, there are so many amazing things I get to experience, like travelling to places I wouldn’t normally go to (Sweden, Copenhagen - all VERY underrated places) to the friends you make along the way.
But that's not to say that there's no downsides to the job.. There are a lot of people who try take advantage of a young girl's dreams! So take it from me, you cannot trust everyone who is kind to you and if something feels off, it probably is.
I have so many stories but that's for another time! Just take the lessons life gives you and learn from them, but if you can, try to learn from someone else's mistakes instead!
All in all, I'd say that modelling has turned me from a "naive girl" from a middle of nowhere town into a (slightly) more "street smart girl" with unbreakable confidence and belief in myself.
My confidence comes from things that I didn’t think I could achieve but I did, and when you can surprise even yourself with what you’re doing then you know you're living your best life!
