HEY FUTURE MODELS!
I'M MICAH!
Ok, so we at IMM always get asked by inspiring young models tips and advice on becoming a model and what to expect when you become a new face at an established modelling agency. So we thought, why not ask one of our leading new male faces Micah on the best tips he has on starting a new career within the modelling industry and sharing them with you guys.
But before Micah tells you his top tips, we thought we would tell you a little about his background first and how proud we are of him.... because why not, he deserves it.
Micah is 18 years old and is from London - He has only in fact been modelling since joining IMM in June this year and had no modelling experience which is pretty cool on what he's accomplished so far.
The very first job Micah got and still continues to do was an eCommerce shoot for Size? where he shoots in Manchester. If you head over to the Size? website it won't take long until you see his face pop up on your screen.
The next job Micah had bagged was for a well known sports brand campaign which hasn't yet been released - so keep your eyes peeled on our social media in the next few weeks to find out who the sports brand he worked with.
A week after shooting for the sports brand campaign, Micah got booked with fashion retailer 'Pull and Bear' and needed to fly out to Spain for an eCom shoot for their website. He was originally confirmed for 2 days of shooting which got extended because Pull & Bear loved shooting him which is not surprising because JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE.
Head over to the
Pull and Bear website to see Micah in action

That's a little brief intro on what Micah has achieved so far with IMM along with attending castings and test shoots to build up his portfolio. We know that Micah has got so much more to come and we can't wait to watch him blow up :)

T O P T I P S
* From New Face Micah *
I’m just writing this short letter to give you some tips and advice about starting your modelling career.
As I’m a new face too and I’ve been in a few shoots I feel as if I can speak to you guys about getting started and breaking out of your shell.
1. When you meet your agency, in my case the IMM family, trust in what they say & the advice they give you.
Yes I know they’re new people and you don't really know them that well and it might be a lot to take in but honestly their advice is vital in your test shoots, castings etc.
2. Always be YOU! Don’t try being somebody else because it’ll come off as forced when you’re meeting photographers and other people when you go to shoots.
Be authentic & come as you are, so people see you for you and not as anybody else.
3. If you’re introverted like I am, it’ll take a bit of time to get used to being in front of the camera and being centre of attention but my advice to that is to talk to other models within your agency, as well as other experienced models.
That is what boosted me to being comfortable in front of camera. Not only were the agency giving me advice but the models were sending their advice over and that taught me how much people are willing to help you.
All you have to do is ask!
I hope this helps you in starting up and helps you adjust to your new surroundings.
Thanks for reading and you can do anything you put your mind too.
If you need to speak to someone you’re always free to hit me up.
One love.
Thank you,
IMM Team x
