1.)
Adidas X White Mountaineering The Streetwear giant is taking center stage at fashion week, after launching there third collaboration with Japanese brand
White Mountaineering. Historically
Adidas are known for collabs, teaming up worldwide with names – such as
Kanye West for Yeezy (soon to be cementing the next collection
Adidas x KANYE WEST) and London skate brand
Palace – where culture, technology and innovation are the focus, this season
Adidas Originals brought their ongoing partnership with Japanese menswear brand
White Mountaineering to Paris’s Pavillon Vendôme. Why
IMM are loving the launch; it screams Summer, creative director
Yosuke Aizawa explains backstage that he was inspired by the ocean, resorts and islands. Contrasting, the darker urban feel of adidas Originals -
Aizawa further stated that 'adidas Originals is not a sports brand, it's more of a fashion brand'. Our male model
Jerome completely agreed 'the iconic three stripes felt futuristic, I liked the playfulness of the collab.'
The queen of Paris fashion is
Rei Kawakubo, and her spring
Comme des Garçons collection was inspired by the Anderson fairytale,
The Emperors New Clothes, '“Many years ago there was an Emperor so exceedingly fond of new clothes that he spent all his money on being well dressed." – resulting in a parade of fantastic plastic transparent garments, just like the infamous imperial togs - Although these ones do actually exist. Our favorite piece, has to be the pinstripe suit; check out the rest of the collection
